Around  80 of the most beautiful superyachts for charter in the Greek islands and in the Eastern Mediterranean were shown at the Mediterranean Yacht Show MEDYS 2016 in Nafplion, the old capital of Greece in the Peloponnese. Just before the season started the harbor of the lively town on the east coast of the Peloponnese was full: Crews presented yachts of all types and sizes, brought to a high gloss in winter or extensively  refitted – motor yachts, sailing yachts and catamarans, ready for Charter Cruises in Greece.

Two yachts attracted attention simply by their sheer size: O’PARI 3, built 2015 and with 72 meters length one of the largest motor yachts ever built in Greece, and BARACUDA VALLETTA, a 50 m ketch from Perini Navi. O’PARI 3, with gym, spa, jacuzzi, heliport, balconies, with plenty of space for guests including personal staff in 9 cabins (including 3 Master Suites), 20 crew members, including an own housekeeper for each deck, shows modern-elegant and timeless interieur and really offers all the comfort you can ever think of. In summer she can cruise the whole Mediterranean….and events in the harbor can be easily arranged for 100 people. Although the 1400 square meter of purple coloured sails  were not hoisted during the show on  BARACUDA VALLETTA  the yacht impressed with huge areas outside and a very-cool minimalist design inside!

Jacuzzi, steam bath, gym, office for guests, modern design in warm tones, all conceivable watertoys from jetski to flyboard – also on 50 m Mondomarine ZALIV III no wish is left unfulfilled –  certainly not those of culinary nature: The young chef Stelios serves up  for example even a red rose,  in the blossom hiding lobster tartare with beetroot …

Worldwide cruises with relatively low consumption, across the Atlantic when the customers feel  like it, night cruises to the next destination? No problem on 47 m ISA superyacht LEDRA  – Jacuzzi and hammam are also available here … just like all toys up to a floating island. Children welcome – as on most of the other yachts with crews who like kids.

Significantly smaller, but perfectly suitable for a family holiday in Greece: the 30m PROJECT STEEL, inside not  steel gray, but equipped with warm cherry wood: It is characterized by a particularly low fuel consumption. Or OCÉANE II with her very likeable crew, outside a rather classic yacht, inside decorated like a sailing ship, pure nautical style.

Design and Chic everywhere: the 45m Christensen IONIAN PRINCESS offers dark noble wood and lot of marble in many different colors, on 40 m O’RION each cabin is decorated in a different wood. 45 m ANCALLIA’ interieur shows white wood and white marble. On  42m MY TOY the roof can be opened for extra fresh air feeling, as well as on the sleek 31 m Azimut DUKE and on 28m Sunseeker AQUA LIBRA which also features comparatively huge windows – and a balcony at the salon. Italian style chic shows up outside and inside for example of 40 m Cacos V,  38 m KINTARO, 41m BARENTS SEA (with highly praised crew and new Follow Tender) or 42 m GEOSAND. Black & beautiful: the 40 m O’PATI.

Some interesting luxury sailing yachts were presented as well: For sailing enthusiasts 29 m long WIND OF CHANGE, with large sunbed and sail areas,  or the 37 m long ALTHEA with flybridge, Follow Tender and space for 11 guests. Motorsailer MATINA even can accomodate 20 guests in 10 cabins –  which also offers an excellent cuisine – only Gulet in the Show and the perfect boat for larger groups and offers excellent cuisine as well!  Not to forget the catamarans such as Lagoon 520 SERENITY (with enough room for 12 guests in 6 cabins !!) or Sunreef 62 ANASSA … guests can enjoy great food and a lot of watersports on the Greek catamaran fleet as well!
